Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. After her first small performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) She went on to portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. A photographer approached Doody. Doody decided to take up modeling, which turned into the profession of commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour, nudity and thongs when she was modeling. She was cast in a minor part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when she was spotted by the director of casting. Doody was named as one the twelve most promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just 18 years old when she made her first appearance in the Bond role. Today, she is the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead role. It took place in 1988 with Dawn French, John Hurt as well as Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she starred as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Later, she guest-starred on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. She began her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November 2018 she was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and received a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
